LOL!! Thanks for the smile...I miss C&H a lot--I'd not thought of "cycling dad" in a long time--I need to pull out some of my collection books and check them out!!

In my not at all humble opinion, Bill Waterson, is one of the 20th century's greatest philosophers. Apparently Calvin's Dad was for the most part, a composite of Waterson himself, and his own father.

Oh, I miss them.

Greatest strip along with the Far Side ever. I have the final Sunday Calvin & Hobbs strip framed and hanging over my desk.

I always identified more with Calvin myself. It didn't hurt that my favorite stuffed animal was a tiger.

We LOVED Calvin and Hobbes in our house. In fact, when a stray cat showed up on the doorstep, we welcomed him in and named him Hobbes. However, my wife drew the line at naming our daughter Calvin. Hobbes was with us for 16 years.

The artist apparently has never authorized any secondary merchadizing to do with "Calvin and Hobbes" so if you have any it is illegal. Other than the definative collection of two books that are out there. The little stickers of Calvin showing his displeasure of various things that one sees on back windows of vehicles are rip-offs of his work.
