I admire you......takes a lot of flexibility, dexterity, and desire to get out there and do your own blowing. Around here, 6 -7 inches is about it, 12 inches is pretty awesome. Some people, I understand, put up with 2 to 3 feet. But that seems just hard to believe.

Denver, the good thing about it, is, that the snow was very light, and fluffy,,,makes it lots easier(I use a shovel)

We have two daughters that live in Mt. Shasta Ca. and 5 and 6 ft is not uncommon there. You gotta love snow to live there.

From what I have read, shoveling snow is not a good exercise - in fact, it can blow out one's back, and is not a good aerobic exercise - hard on one's heart.

We don't need snow blowers here. We need giant ice picks.
Last January we received 4-6 inches of snow one evening, promptly followed by a few hours of freezing rain. The next 5 days the temperature never got above freezing. We were stranded in the house for 5 days.

If the snow is light and not too deep, you might try your leaf blower. Works. Now that would be a true blow job as a snow blower technically throws the snow.

My son lives in Newnan Ga. and moved there from Wisconsin and his boss is from Michigan. He sad that thy were some of the only people to show up for work that day of the big snow.

First the tools, you need snow shovels in various widths, the heavier the snow the smaller the shovel, you also need a pusher. A pusher is a wide shovel that is shaped like a long C, you never lift it, you push the snow, then use the shovel to lift it. Technique, lift as little as possible, I put the pusher on an angle, go once all the way down, then move over slightly and go back up, then go down pushing it to the sides of the drive, then use a straight shovel to shape the bank into a curved shape so that it wouldn't collapse back. The most important thing, if the snow is heavy, don't do it all at once, work on it for say an hour, then take a break.....
