My Monday evening destination....
...was Schaellers hamburger stand. Monday night is "Cruise Night". Now in these parts we should really call it "Park and Talk and Gawk Night". Everyone brings their cars down to the burger joint and makes like they're in a car show. I've done it, it's fun. I can't afford to play with cars anymore but I still frequent the area Cruise Nights.
So with cars like these filling the parking lot...... http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_3479.jpg http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_3480.jpg http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_3481.jpg http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_3483.jpg http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_3484.jpg ....where does one park their bike while they wander among the four wheeled machines? Why one just walks right up to the D.J.'s Van with an air of authority and parks their bike right along side it. I was suprised nobody objected but glad I could park the bike within my eyesight as I wandered around the lot. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_3485.jpg It was a beautiful night for a ride and a look-see. I must have seen at least a dozen other people pull in on bicycles this evening. I believe the cycling trend may be starting to pick up a little steam. |

So how many people looked at the bike and went "Wow"?
Living near a seaside resort we have plenty of car shows organised by the local authorities- Or Motorbike shows- or Truck shows- or Bus shows. Have tried walking round shows like this with a bike and it is not easy. At the larger ones over here they have a "Free" secure bike park. Just so you don't getyour pedals too near that shiny paintwork. |
