Hmmm. I don't know we had just stopped at the Burget King for a couple of sodas. I looked pretty sweaty after a long ride and my hair wasn't combed. I'm sure we looked like something the cat drug in.

If they stop enough people maybe they can put in something other than chip-seal roads.

I don't have the "pleasure" of riding them locally, but when I was up in Ohio I had the distinct displeasure of riding on freshly surfaced chip-seal. I can understand why you hate it.

Yeah, but now that I'm in the 50 plus bracket I was hoping to get a sports car on the next go around! This is not going as I envisioned. :>)

I'm 55 and passed the transient "sports car phase" over 10 years ago. Okay, so it was just a "pretend" sports car: a sexy bright red Pontiac Sunfire with a spoiler and a nice stereo, but everything else was typical GM junk. Get a mini-van (I have a Honda Odyssey) - they're more practical for hauling bikes and lots more fun, if you know what I mean.

Sigh... It's really a moot point until I get this next one out of college.

A mini van is a great way to transport bikes or other cargo. It also has an advantage over pick-up trucks in improved security.

I love my autos and I have no payments. I don't want to give up my autos and have a capital expenditure.

Here in DUH- common-wealth there's a requirement to ticket so many violation in a given period, to prove you actually are looking for problems this usally occurs around the 29-31, hence the term making quota, or what is the flavor of the week example : inspection stickers each officer needs to get 10 this week... sometimes the troopers hang out at the exit ramps so your trapped and they really run up the quota. this usally involves a warning and a fine plus you need to find a garage that isn't backed up for 2 days trying to complete this months inspections prior to the deadline.
Some garages like to offer new tires, brakes, tail-lights, exhaust systems. I feel this is good for the economy so I usally unplug a light or place a blown bulb in the outlet this prevents the need for the more expensive repairs like brakes, and tail pipes.

Make a donation to a Poliemans/Firemans memorial fund. They usually will send you a sticker for your car window. Display it proudly on your car window. Makes a difference when you get pulled over.

Haha. I used to be a member of the 100 Club and placed their sticker on the back window. Come to think of it, I don't remember being stopped during that time. You may be on to something.
