So much for that

Well this morning I decided it would be perfect for a bike ride. I jammed my toe yesterday and walking on it was painful ..... thought I could just be light on the pedals and do great compared to walking.

Did not take into account there part where you put the foot on one pedal and push off with the other foot. Searing pain. Nausea. Guess the damned thing is broken after all.

Had to use the bike as a crutch to hop back to the garage on one foot. Now the bruise is growing rather nicely up into the foot. Aaargh. And I have a flight tomorrow for work.

Ah, broken toes, how I love them. Did that last summer, ran into an underwater rock play with my dog in a lake. It hurt. Half of my foot turned purple. Tape the broken toe to the one next to it.
Enjoy your flight.

At least I still have the crutches from the pin in the ankle a few years back and the trip is only 1 night so I can carry a backpack. No doctor trip for a toe - just tape as you say. The airline is ok with the crutch.

Ouch!

Flying now is painful enough.

Ah, I see you are fron jawjuh. I am from S Cackalacky - (actually family origins are in Walhalla SC, but family presence in Cobb County goes back to mid 1700s)

Yeah the flying is bad enough but having to drive from Greenville to Columbia to catch a plane to Charlotte that goes to Dayton Ohio is such a joke. Getting the same flight out of Greenville or Charlotte direct would have added another $400. Go figure. For those shenangians it makes driving about 500 miles worthwhile but the company reimbursement would be more than the flight so...........

To complete the effect the airlines should offer hairshirts and ashes instead of blankets and pillows.

One of the rides I want to do really badly is from Highlands, NC down to Walhalla. Not the other way. Too old and too fat and know it.
