Charmed Water Bottle

Two weeks ago wife, friend & I went on a nice 58 mile ride from California to Oregon and back.

Partway back, my wife realized she's left her water bottle in the parking lot of the restaurant at which we'd had lunch. We decided not to go back for it.

The ride was so nice, that we did it again last week, and when we pulled into the parking lot, there was the water bottle. We were actually famous in the restaurant, since the staff had been debating whether we'd ever come back for it.

That's cool. Myabe you should have said "Okay, who won the bet" and bought them lunch.

I once left a pair of gloves at a gate up on the hills. Went back but the gloves were nowhere to be seen. Got home and they were in the garage.

And surprised it was the wife who left her water bottle at the cafe--She thought it was YOU that left HER water bottle there.

In these parts, it would have been gone in half an hour.

I left a pair of Oakley sunglasses where I stopped to eat a snack. Even in the middle of nowhere, when I came back for them they were gone (darn!!!). I think there is something about a water bottle and the fact someone's mouth has been on it that keeps people away...
