Pie ride - does this count?
My wife and I rode to our weight watchers meeting this morning, then from there on for another 26 miles. After the ride I had some nice pizza pie for lunch. While it contained no fruit, it did have a crust, and the word "pie" in its name.
Actually, the only reason I felt I could indulge was the news that I had a 3.4 loss this week, which put me over the 50-pound-loss mark since joining in April. So I thought that, coupled with the ride, justified a little reward. What's life without the occasional treat? |
Whatever you are doing on the weight loss seems to be working but Pizza- even if it is Pie- would not be my choice of eating for anything. I hate Pizza.
But 3.4 lb loss in a week seems fantastic. I am currently 3lbs over my "Normal" weight and I just can't shift it. Perhaps I ought to give the Pizza Pie diet a try to see if it works. Probably would as I would not be eating much of it. |
LOL...I absolutely don't recommend pizza for weight loss. Which is unfortunate for me, since it's probably my single most favorite food. But, much to my dismay, I've found the two things that have the lowest "diet value" as foods (balancing nutritional content, ability to be "filling," and its caloric "expense") are breads and cheeses. In other words, 2/3 of your basic pizza.
The 3.4 pound loss this week seems to be part of a pattern I'm finding myself in - 2 or 3 weeks with a half-pound loss or less, followed by a bigger loss the next week. It's happened for about 2 months now. 3.4 pounds a week, consistently, would not be sustainable, at least for me. It's all I can to do average about 2. |
