Sunday bike ride along A1A North

Great riding day today, going north the wind was cranking 14-18 NNW but after beating my way 20+ miles into it I had the bonus of a nice cool, dry 22 miles in top gear with little effort expended.

A few pics of the road and the new bridge into St Augustine. All have a great big bike lane.

Funny, I did A1A today, but I didn't see you! lol
That's because I was a couple hundred miles south! Today was the Kids Ind Distress Inlet challenge and I did the 100 mi route up A1A from Ft. Lauderdale to Palm Beach and back. I have to agree, it was a great day for riding along the ocean. Since I didn't have the foresight to bring a camera, bykemike's will have to do. It was beautiful, and while I could have done without the wind, we had a great time also.

Here's to riding 365 in FLA!

I rode along the intracoastal waterway in Sebastian today - weather was PERFECT! No camera with me though.

Did my ride to the beach yesterday, before the wind started. A1A stops south of me at Port Canaveral and starts up again north of Canaveral National Seashore.

Here are some surfers out at the beach:

And Discovery still on the pad, where it's going to be until February:

Great time of year to be riding in Florida.

B-Mike - Why is that person standing out in the swamp looking at the bridge?

I note only a single automobile in all of those pictures. Is that typical?
