Stoker spouse has been on the veggie soup diet. 156 pounds to 138. The tandem still seems to travel at about the same rate.

Must be my fault then?

(Wouldn't change a thing - she's my teamy!)

It may not be your fault. If she lost fat pounds, then yes, it's your fault. If she lost muscle mass/weight, then it's probably not your fault. You may not know which type of weight she lost (or some of each), so this may not help, but still . . . may not be your fault.

138lbs- thats light for a 6ft Amazon.

Perhaps she is Wasting away and needs a few Pie rides to build up energy again.

+1 You're sure more of a risk taker than I am.

Well, weight only matters in climbing or acceleration. For these two things, power to weight is controlling. For just out right high speed riding, power is the key thing.

So if you do a considerable amount of sprinting which would seem to be unlikely on a tandem and all or you climb hills much of the time, weight loss really does not matter much.

I guess Wobbly likes living dangerously (well he didn't post her age too, so maybe not that dangerously).

You do know the internet is forever, right?
