Will my next ride be 120 Miles**********
Absolutely gorgeous weather for riding in NC today. There was little wind, bright sunny skies and the temps were in the high 40's to low 50's.
My first ride since encoutering the joint issues was 21 miles. Last weekend I managed 32 miles. Today I did a fairly flat 65 miler (2300 ft of climbing) and averaged a whopping 15.3 mph. I really should have limited it to 50 miles as my knees and feet were screaming at me the last 15 miles or so. Even the slightest of inclines felt like climbing mountains.
Anyway, using DeeGee algorithm (that Google is unaware of) that might say if I continue on the same trend my next ride would be 120+ miles. I wonder if I have the base miles to take on such a ride????

Wow Joe -- so happy to see this! You seem to be recovering very quickly. Careful, though... don't push it. Soreness is one thing, but pain (especially "screaming" pain) is your body talking to you (or, "screaming" at you).

Can you start at the top of one of your mountain rides and do 12,000ft of descent for a change?

Funny--I was thinking the exact same thing. I was thinking about how I could do the Mt Hakeala ride in Maui starting at the top and riding down to the Ocean.....but doing the other long climbing rides right now is just out of the question.
