And what project is that?
I'm thinking that, with a lot of work, you could turn it into an expensive, not-too-good bicycle. On the other hand, it wouldn't take very much time or money at all to convert it into a nice trellis.

I think it's a worthwhile project. First you find a frame with a comparable geometry. You can decide if you want to stay with the original frame material. Slowly add components to it. Paint it a similar rust color. Voila!

And I'd still go for the rust colour. Just use steel primer with a bit of sand thrown over it for some texture. I'm not sure how you can get that flaked effect though.
