The riding season has started :-)
Friday was the official start of our weekly ride to Arcanum for lunch. We were honored with the presence of one of the original members of our cycling club. He's only 83 and still rides a tri-bike
He also leads a weekly ride of 40 miles for the club.

Nice to get out and ride again- but which one is 83
Seeing as it was the first ride of the year you should have taken a pic at the end of the ride and the emoticon would have been surplus.
Had my first offroad ride for about 6 months and have to admit that I am not feeling too spritely at present. I hate riding with youngsters.

My first ride of the season today as well. It was 40 and sunny, still quite a few dirty snow mounds about but it was good to do a ride again. The spinning really helped, it felt like I almost didn't have a winter break. I did not go long or hard but I did but a short but steep hill in the middle. No problems at all.
I won't have another chance to ride for over a week as I have other time commitments - bummer.

Oooo, ooooo, me too!!!
Got out for a slow & easy 25 miles on Tuesday and then the same ride again on Thursday. I'm taking the 10 mile route home from work now too!
It'll be a while before my body is back up to speed. I'm not riding turtle-like because I wish to as much as because my elephant -like body can't go much faster right now!
cyclinfool, beware once that snow melts off the trails it usually leaves the windblown debris behind such as sticks to roll sideways off of and twigs to tease your drivetrain.
stapfam, good to see riding weather has arrived in your part of the world too.
beverly, enjoy those lunch runs.
And away we all go on another season of cycling adventures...
