Wool Jersey source....?
My last ancient wool jersey shrank (not that I've expanded) to where my belly button leaves a distinct outline.
Someone suggest a good source for a nice merino wool jersey that would fit the budget of an almost retiree? |
Ibex is one, I have three of their jerseys and like them fine, Wabi Woolens is another, and is reported to be of very high quality, Joneswear is another, but is short on stock, and Smartwool has one now, but its a blend.
None of these are going to be cheap. I tend to recommend Ibex because I've been very happy with the jerseys that I have purchased from them. |
If you watch Nashbar, they occasionally have nice prices. I got two of these for $50 each, and they are $60 now, but I've seen them listed there for $100.

This undewear shirt isn't a jersey, but it's cheap: $35
I mention it because my wife got me some wool underwear from Sweden (this), and I've worn it under a regular jersey when it's around 42 degrees here. It works great! |
Rivendell has several wool styles available. Not the cheapest, but quality stuff and comfortable:

Boure.com has a nice wool jersey available right now.
