Summer has to be pretty close by
I cramped up in both legs pretty good today. It was warmer than it has been and since I'm the worlds worst at hydrating it bit me pretty good. At least it was just one leg at a time instead of both cramping together. it got me at about mile 83 into my 103 mile ride and I had to use some easier gears for a good while. The last 50 miles was into a pretty good headwind and that didn't help much at all.
Ho hum.....just another century.
I can't wait until we get the 90 degree days with high humidity. I'll just be one big cramp.

Century this early in the year?
Don't mind the heat too much once I am riding but it is the humidity that would get me.
But summer is here in the south of the UK. Just hope it doesn't follow on like the last few year. 4 weeks of summer in April/May then heat- overcast and high humidity.

Winter hangs on here in the great North. Spring takes a long time to come. Some locals here say we jump from Winter to Summer, having lived in Virginia most of my life so I know what summer feels like, IMHO our summer only last 2 weeks - we get an extended and beautiful late spring all "summer" long. I can't wait! Today it will get up to the high 50's, I'm off the climb some hills.

It's not early in the year!
I did a 101 mile ride a month ago with a bunch of lads off a more UK-based cycling forum. I'm not even fit - I'd only ridden 250 miles in total since last October.
Get out there and ride one!
I can't take hot and sticky weather either.
Too right! I've been laid up with a chest infection and haven't been able to take advantage of the 2 glorious weeks we've had.
I really need a good summer this time round after 4 pretty bad ones in a row. Fingers crossed, eh?
