My son got infected!
And he has caught N+1 bad.
He just phoned to say he saw a man throwing an old racing bike frame in a dumpster. He fished it out to find it is a vintage Gitane with a complete Campy Record Group.
All it needs are wheels.

Dumpster diving! Cool. But, you know this didn't really happen unless there are photos (shots after he gets it road worthy would be more than welcome.)

Speaking of good deal, altho it wasnt free, a lady in the bent club in Omaha bought an Easy Racer bent with a windshield for $250 at a garage sale. Some people just seem to fall into it.

Just needing New Wheels? Wonder where they will come from?
I'd get better locks on the bike shed and start chaining the wheels down if I were you.
I have just such a bike at home in a 74? Dawes Galaxy and it is not worth spending a great deal on it. It needs new 27" wheels and not many of them about 2nd hand. I have feelers out with a few cyclists at Scrap yards but nothing coming up yet. Have had a decent set of MTB with disc hubs turn up though.

^ I would think that 700c wheels would fit this... probably 120mm spacing, maybe 126mm
