heart rate not dropping back like it used to the last 2 days ??
ok I usually bike at 135/140 bpm on my moniter, yesterday I went after fasting for a blood test for 14hrs I ate about 1pm and biked at 4pm, my heart rate seemed to stay above 145 and not drop fast like it usually does....I drank lots of water too.. Today I ran and it seemed better but still after getting home it was still 80 bpm.
Usual resting rate is 56 to 60
Now it was 95 degs today and 90 yesterday...I have exersised in the heat before but dont remember it doing this...Normal or problem ??

HR is often higher for the same level of effort when its hot.
You need to circulate more blood in order to shed the heat that you are producing.
Fasting can't have helped either.
I wish it was hot here!

After 35 or so, the body's ability to resist overheating declines. You might be over-trained or under-rested, or starting to get sick.
Continue to ride, but concentrate on rest and staying healthy for a few days and see what happens.

Plus one for more rest and more attention to diet. Also, if you are like me, probably not, but still, emotional state can play a role. A bit of anxiety can keep heart rate up. So, assuming no other glaring problems I wouldn't want to join the Worried Well Club quite yet.
But, of course that is just me. Lacking personal data anything one gets off the internet may be worth exactly what it costs, or less, or more.
