good news spreads

First there was Pete. Had a Cr*p bike and he was told to get a decent one. As soon as he got a used Giant Boulder at a price he could afford-he joined us on our "Gentle" 25 mile Sunday rides. Then Nathan but he didn't have a bike. Borrowed one of mine and then got his own . Then Mick from across the road and once again no bike. He got enthused by seeing the unfit Pete get transformed into a Less unfit Pete and he has borrowed another of my bikes. Then this afternoon another of my friends announced he has got a bike. No idea what but wants to join our Sunday morning ride.

So tomorrow morning I have 3 novices to shepherd on a 25 mile road ride that must not have a hill- must not be too fast and must operate a "No Drop" Policy. Nathan isn't coming unless his Knee stops oozing Fluid. He had an op on it a couple of weeks ago and it went "Funny"

Hope I can keep up with them.

That's great. I wish I can get some of my friends to go riding with me. I try to get my co-workers interested and as soon as I tell them how far we are going to ride, they back down. I can't even get them to do a 5 mile ride because they all feel its too much work.

I'm sure you'll shepherd them to an appropriate place that serves delicious pies

Don't forget:

Liability insurance? Injury waiver forms? Cue sheets? Sag wagon? 15 mile pit and refreshment stop?
