Hello to all. May I be allowed into this fine forum some 6 months early, or need I wait?

That depends.

What kind of pie do you like?

How loudly can you yell "Get off my lawn!"

Rules....there ain't no stinkin' rules!

Okay...forget I said that. The one rule the 50+ group tends to adhere to, better than most, is respecting others and answering questions in a kind, non-condescending manner. As long as that's okay with you, then have it IMHO. I lurked my last year and didn't "come out" until I hit my 50th, but that's just me.

No no." Get off my lawn" must be expressed in low, growling tones, not yelled. Much more effective that way.

Let's see...

Apple pie.
Does club 'Tombay' count without clipless? On a towpath, with many witnesses, I stopped with my left foot off the pedal, and slowly tilted to the right, didn't get my right foot off the pedal, and tilted over very slowly and fell completely off the towpath into the ditch full of brambles (my first ride with BF member Chipcom)
Being nice and respectful of others is how I like it.

CLUB TOMBAY--Americanisation of the french verb to Fall--Tomber. (Pronounced Tombay) but as not all of us can speak with a French Accent- We have made it simpler.

To qualify you must have fallen off the bike due to still being clipped into clipless pedals. That does not necessarily mean you cannot unclip as the best ones are normally due to another event that comes with age-of bad memory. You just forget to unclip.

Bonus points are awarded if it is done in front of your friends---Your neighbours or best of all if you manage to gain the attention of off duty nurses that come to your assistance. Blood is not necessary but bonus points of the Stitches or the bruises can be awarded at the discretion of the viewing members--So that means pics are required aswell.

Special dispensation can be be at the discretion of the members for Clips and straps but Platform pedals would not normally count for an entry. But doing it on a ride with chipcom must be in your favour. In fact riding with chipcom deserves a medal.

I think a Tombay without clipless should be worth bonus points, especially when landing in bramble bushes.

Oh, so close! What lovely parting gifts do we have for our contestant, Johnny?

Just kidding, of course. You're more than welcome here. But for the record, the official answer (though not one I personally endorse) is blueberry.

It only counts if it was good enough to make Chipcom laugh long and hard (low standard as that may be).

No one has mentioned the early-entry surcharge for those who are close but no cigar. Payable to all current 50+ participants. I am fine with PayPal.
