Kinda hard to top BlazingPedals but here's mine.
Taken during my first metric.

Your trike may not top BlazingPedals, but anyone that rides a hand tike is awesome in my book.

I fell in love with my Mixte... For those of you that don't hang out in the C&V forum, a Mixte is a Unisex frame that can be dated back to the early 1900's. (Note the extra set of chain stays, and twin top tubes)... Sadly in the USA its similarity to a "Women's" frame has limited its over all popularity, but in the last few years this style frame has made a pretty good comeback in popularity.

Hi,

I wasn't trying to spoil anyone's fun with my earlier post. Just checking to see if the was something like the sticky thread in Road Cycling where everyone generally posts photos of their bikes. Since there isn't one, here are mine in order of purchase...

1975 Bianchi Specialissima: Restored after about 8 years of training and racing. Now a museum piece and yes, I am the original owner.
http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/6...0/original.jpg

2006 Bianchi Pista Concept: Track bike in training and TT configurations. Some parts from early 1980s Benotto track bike.

http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/1...5/original.jpg

2005 Bianchi Milano 120: Bianchi 120th anniversary version of their "famed" city bike. My urban adventure bike.
http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/1...0/original.jpg

2007 Serotta Attack: My 50th birthday present and daily training and midweek race bike.
http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/1...8/original.jpg

2007 Bianchi D2 Crono Carbon: My TT rig that help me break the 1 hour barrier in a 40 Km TT.
http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/1...6/original.jpg

2007 Bianchi Roger: My rain bike. The only used bike that I've ever bought.
http://www.pbase.com/cleavel/image/1...9/original.jpg

2010 Cannondale SuperSix Hi-Mod: My weekend race rig. UCI illegal at 14.4 lbs.

I have detailed shots of some of these bikes at the link in my sig. Thanks for letting me play. :)

At age 65 I have been riding this Masi Gran Criterium S for 5 yrs. It's an AL frame with CF fork and rear triangle. Gruppos is Dura Ace. Love it.

Oh my! I don't hardly know where to start so I'll go with most often used to least often.

My favorite bike ever and my current long distance and/or fast ride (well, fast for me). Vintage is approx. a 1999 to 2000 Easy Racers Tour Easy.

My fair weather commuter, a 2005 Volae Tour.

My foul weather commuter, a 1988 Trek 820 Antelope.

My 2007 Sun EZ Sport, heavy but fun.

My 2004 Sun EZ Tandem.

My 1986 ish Raleigh Marathon.

2001 Raleigh C-40, Aluminum frame.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_0468.jpg

Another "Go Fast" bike.....1991 Schwinn 354, aluminum frame. I've got two of these that are indentical except this one has a longer RD and a bigger cassette for riding in the hilly Finger Lakes area and the other still has the original RD and cassette. One of them was the bike I was on when the lady ran me down in 1991, so one I bought and the other she bought through her insurance company.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_0418.jpg

1994 Burley Sambo. That little one is an Engineer working in Chicago now and by her request the bike is hers when she has space for it.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/DadKaren.jpg

The red Huffy and the brown Schwinn Twinn go to the other two daughters if they want them. We all rode many, many miles on these tandems.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_0367.jpg

Just a few more.....

cranky old dude 08-17-11 09:55 AM

I won't list all my bikes as many of them are just curiosity pieces that I've hung in my garage rafters.

The Alenax bikes are my oldest daughter's favorites and no doubt she will have them eventually. We often take them for a spin when she visits from California.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_0420.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_0421.jpg

I'm contemplating winterizing this old Schwinn Town & Country...it'll be interesting anyway.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/IMG_0366.jpg

There are several others hanging around. Most are future projects if I ever get the opportunity to retire, some are destined for donation, and like I mentioned earlier I have several very clean examples of bikes from the 60's thru the 80's hanging out in the garage....but I'm not riding nor have I ridden them other than maintainance rides.

Cleave,

Awesome looking Bianchi collection. Do you need a long lost brother so that you can put one or two of those in your will for him? ;)

Bite your tongue!! There's nothing wrong with a Felt!!

I was really wanting a Felt F75 or maybe F5 when I went bike shopping last December. Felt was having a fork recall and the shop didn't have any non-recall Felts in my size and price range. :( My second choice was a Cannondale whatever. Turned out the dealer dropped Cannondale about a year prior. That's two strikes.
I ended up getting my Specialized Tarmac Elite. its nice but not nearly as nice as my Litespeed Tuscany.
Here they are. Sorry, we don't have a garage, only a carport, so no white garage door. :p

These pics are all a couple of years old. Some components have changed.

2006 Trek Portland, my four-seasons, all-conditions commuter and grocery-getter. Shown here wearing its studded snow tires and winter fenders.

2000 Trek 1000 "YellowBike!", my three-seasons backup commuter

1999 Schwinn Peloton, "Blue Steel". I've since removed the wheel decals and it looks much better.

1996 Litespeed Classic, "Jeeves". Shown here wearing Blue's components. It currently wears 2011 Ultegra 6700 with a set of Velocity A23 Pro Build wheels.

Details and specs here (scroll down a bit).

I don't have one either.

I found a garage door on Google you can borrow.

Here's mine, I showed up to my first group ride with Seyboro Cyclists here in NC a couple weeks ago and before I unloaded I asked if they had any "Rookie tape" for my seat,, (it's a NASCAR thing) they laughed and said, this is a beginners ride, no rookie tape needed. When I unloaded the bike from the rear seat of my CC truck they were like,,,, "ROOKIE"???? with THAT bike? LOL,, (I know it's not the top of the line,, but it's not a 30 year old Schwinn like I had in the back either)
Anyway, I love my Specialized Allez, I love the way it feels, and am proud to say I "Hung" in on that beginners ride quite well. Even tried to "Break away" with 3 or 4 advanced riders at the end of that 24 mile ride. (4 miles from the end,,, No, I didn't hang with them!) But I did manage to keep a 19mph run with another rider, (drafting) for the last 4 miles!

This was only my third ride over 15 miles,, and only my 5th ride on that bike!

sarals 08-18-11 08:42 AM

AJ, I know your LBS LOVES you!

I didn't know you had a single speed!
