Please elaborate on acronyms...
I'm still new to cycling, and when I read some of the BF threads there are many acronyms such as TT, MUP, etc. Can someone please identify the meaning of these two and list any others that one can think of?
|
TT = time trial or top tube, depending on context.
MUP = Multi-Use-Path, aka bikepath, aka assisted suicide SP Bend, OR |
|
That list missed so many important ones for those of us who tweak our bikes instead of taking them to a shop for "adjustment".
TT - Top Tube DT - Down Tube ST - Seat Tube HT - Head TUbe RD - Rear Derailleur FD - Front Derailleur SP - Seat Post DO - Dropouts CP - Centerpull brakes SP - Sidepull brakes FS - Friction Shifters BB - Bottom Bracket FW - Freewheel etc. They're all kinda' obvious, mostly. |
Wait until HTFU.
