Winter Training idea....

I want to get some winter training in, the idea is to ride 4 times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with 25km each on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday starting at 25km and working my way up adding 2-3km per week.

The plan is to set the alarm at 6am, get up and go down to the cellar and ride the trainer for an hour. I can sleep in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. I picked 25km, because I know I can do that in about an hour.

The problem I have been having is that after work, I am tired and grumpy and the missus has lots for me to do....

They must keep the roads in Ontario plowed much better than down here.

Naw, this is all on the trainer, although they keep the roads plowed pretty well, up here on the Bruce, visibility is the problem, when you can't see the road from the house, you know that being out there on a bicycle, isn't going to work out so well for you.

I know of someone who tries to ride on the road every day, if there is snow or heavy rain he goes out to his garage where he has his trainer, he opens the garage door and rides the trainer for the same amount of time as his daily ride.
