Still riding :-) - Only ONE to go!
Treatment #5 was last Wednesday and as usual the side effects have been minor but uncomfortable. I’m looking forward to the last treatment in a couple weeks and I can leave behind the funny tasting food, bloating and a few other annoying side effects.
I was able to ride Friday and Saturday for a total of 15 miles. This gives me 930 miles for the season and I’m aiming for 1,000 miles for the year. I just hope the weather cooperates and I can make my goal.
My oncologist has indicated I can start the radiation as soon as possible after the last chemo since I haven’t had any major problems. Hopefully the center can get everything coordinated and I can get started on the next phase of this journey.
Only 15 more days to the last chemo

That sounds great Beverly! Congratulations on your will!
We had a woman ride with us last weekend who went thru chemo and radiation for breast cancer this past winter and spring. She cycled when she could during the treatments, and kept up with our club on Saturday. She is 61, btw

Glad to see every thing proceeding
On the Funny tasting food--- Had the same after a precautionary dose but I grow my own vegetables. HOME GROWN--hence organic- Food did not have the same taste for me.
In Fact the wife bought Organic food for a long time at the supermarket and I took some back as I got that funny taste from a cabbage that was supposed to be organic. Finished up with a large box of Organic fruit as a Token of my inconvenience.

Beverly, sorry to learn that you are having to go through this. But glad to learn that you are progressing. This can be beat! You can do it!

Someone should combine the cancer stories of the BF 50+ers into an anthology. It would be a great read for folks facing this battle - especially for cyclists.
