Is anyone knowledgable about this ride? It's a ride of several days in duration in March.

I've got a buddy who does this every year and wouldn't miss it. I always end up with some kind of conflict. Looks like this year they are focused on the crook in the panhandle. May get some climbing that will remind you of North Carolina. Folks in Tallahassee like to take you out there and show you they've got a mountain or two

I did this ride with another 50+ member (rtool) a couple years ago. We loved it. The ride was well organized, the food was great and overnight facilities were good. We chose the indoor camping option but many were camping. Indoor camping was never crowded and we avoided one night of rain!

All these kind of remarks do is invite an ill-tempered right winger to fire back about Biden or Obama, then everyone's feelings gets hurt, and then no one talks about bikes and they carry on about politics, and otherwise very nice and civil people start making startlingly outlandish statements, and anyone with an ounce of sense runs for cover.

So take this clever banter over to P&R, whatya say?

I have heard good things about it. I have never gone on it. I usually go on the similar Florida Bicycle Safari held in April at Live Oak and Cherry Lake FL.

I would be doing it but it is right about the same time as the MS 150. I'm wondering why they scheduled two major rides right about the same time?

You're right, of course. But when RedC lobs a softball like that, you can't blame a guy for taking a swing can you?

I apologize for setting you up. It's all in fun, didn't mean to start something that would upset anyone.

About thirty years ago, I encountered a gentleman who was spending his retirement riding his bike all over North America. He told me some harrowing stories about riding in FL, including having folks cut all his spokes while he was in a store. In light of that, I am thrilled that there is such a thing as Bike Florida. Sometimes the times change for the better.
