The Joy of Cycling

By Airside, a design firm in London. Apparently Transport for London didn't get it.

Is it me or does the photo of the two in "Meet New Partners" look a little kinky?

It really is a pretty good parody of the Joy of Sex drawings.

It is quite obvious that none of you know or understand the "Mayor of London"--Never seen this poster and I doubt that many have but it does seem in line with something "Boris" would put his name to.

I guess that's what Airside thought when they made it. But apparently it didn't pass muster with Transport of London who never adopted it. Clients can be so finicky.

Oh, I don't think it was a shin hit with a pedal. Perhaps something else was hit with a....well you figure it out.

BTW, if anyone's interested in the way the artwork was developed for the book for which this poster is a parody, this is a good read. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15309357

Artkansas, Looks to be (or could've been) an effective ad campaign, I like it. Nothing like a subliminal nudge.

In one instance,
the copy tells us the so-called UK is a dry country ,
in another , the weather is notoriously unpredictable .
Seems hard to reconcile .
Agree with Artkansas about clients, though .
Maybe a bit cheeky , but I'm surprised Boris didn't like it .
