Let's See Your GREEN Bikes! OK, Yellow Too

I'm all for getting carried away with this color theme, all bikes are pretty, even green and yellow bikes.

My Cannondale is both green and yellow:

My 1983 Cannondale is just green

My green bikes. Sorry no garage door this time. I seem to have a bike in all the "show your bike" color postings.

This year's color scheme is pretty cool, too, but I'm not going to buy a new bike over it.

Going from a red to a yellow bike forced me to buy a new helmet, the Livestrong one of course. My wife doesn't understand why I need to match my helmet to my bike color. Oh well.

Behold my '87 Bianchi frame built up using modern Campagnolo 9 speed components with downtube friction shifters.

I also have a green '02 Lemond Alpe D' Huez but have never photographed it.

O.K. Green first!

Next summer I hope to have two more green bikes. I'm rehabing an old Huffy 3-spd and a Trek 800 and intend to paint them both Emerald Green. Until then...

Here's the 1986 Raleigh Marathon (steel frame)...

Next up, the 2000 Raleigh C-40 Aluminum frame Hybrid

Here's my 1973 Schwinn Town & Country...

Here is a very old picture of our Burley Tandem complete with my very precious stokers. It looks blue but in reality it's teal and teal seems green to me...

Now I hope Gold is close enough to yellow to slip in our 2004 Sun EZ Tandem here...

That's all for now.

OK, I'm in. The Big Dummy. Kind of a military olive green.

The Quetzal recumbent. John Deere green and yellow.

May as well toss my wife's electric bike in too.

Green it is..

My green Masi Randonneur 2011 as delivered in August last year. We've been through an adventure or two since then, and had to get new wheels. Next July we're riding across Iowa together.

After a complete fitting and adjustment, this bike fits me like a glove.

There are plenty of yellow bikes, but only one YellowBike, my Y2K Trek 1000, purchased second-hand in 2007, and heavily modified and upgraded since.

Yeah, where are all the celeste (green) Bianchis? (maybe with the blue bikes?)

In figure skating, it is unlucky to wear green. Is there an unlucky color for bikes, I wonder?

Is yellow the new green? I know that yellow+blue=green, but I thought this was "show us your green bikes."

Edit: Oops! Nevermind...should read more carefully....just saw that the title includes Yellow bikes.

Other than the Blue bike I don't have any others posted. Even the Tandem in the Blue- looks Black.

I have a Bronze anodised that looks Gold- A Bianchi that is Celeste and Celeste is a colour in its own right when it is on a Bianchi and a Black white and silver that I can't decide where it should be posted and the New bike is white silver except it isn't.

Actually, I've seen it as "Bianchi Sea Green" in 1970's pamphlets. "Celeste" is an interesting Italian word. Remember that it is pronounced "CHE less tay." There's a very famous Italian opera tenor aria called "Celeste Aida" (from Verdi's Aida) which translates to "Heavenly Aida." So it's actually heavenly, not sea green!

I remember that green...pretty color. I had an '84 Cannondale, pretty purple. It was a 50cm frame and I rode it for twenty years. Rode like it was made of cement; really, really hard and unforgiving. Pretty though.
