Yep, didn't ride last year but rode the previous 2 years out of Grafton WI as a Red Rider.

Long Beach Ship To Shore once again here.
Not a Red Rider but support the ADA for others who have it.

I just got diagnosed last fall. I'm going tot ry to do the full century in Easton MD http://main.diabetes.org/site/TR/?pg=entry&fr_id=8042 - the Chesapeake Bay is a great (flat and scenic) place to ride. Plus, I'll get a new jersey.
I even joined a team!

You get a special red jersey to wear on the ride which designates to everyone on the ride that you are a rider with diabetes. They are actually quite a nice jersey. :)

I'm not a Red Rider, but I'll be a ride marshall (May I help you with that flat?) again this year for the Phoenix ride.

I'd like to find a Ride Marshall for all my rides. Are you available?

What happened to your Bike Butler?

Due to economic reasons, I had to lay him off. Poor chap. He took early retirement and is now living on some otherwise uninhabited island somewhere with a Polynesian coed, or so I've heard. Probably hates me. I miss him.

I rode 45 miles in the 2010 Houston TX tour de Cure. Was in the Hospital for the 2011. Plan on the 2012 event for sure

Bikey Mikey 02-21-12 08:51 PM

Wow, I've been a red rider all along and didn't even know there was such a label. I'll have to look into the local options in my area.

I think this is a wonderful cause and idea. Hope it raises a TON of money.

UH, diabetes?

mccornwall 02-22-12 07:39 AM

Red Rider here...first time last year in Grafton (greater St. Louis area)

CraigB 02-22-12 07:42 AM

Not a Red Rider, but have many friends and family members with diabetes, and participated in my first TdC at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway last year, finishing 33rd in fundraising for the event and had a blast doing it. I've already signed up for this year, though I think I may do the road route this time.

Riding in the Phoenix and Las Vegas TDC. A team of classmates from Phoenix (South Mountain High School '72) is riding in honor of classmate Paul H. We are Paul's Rebel Rally. Hey AZ Tall, be sure to hang close to a group of 50+ers with a rebel flag in their logo. Do you carry Oxygen?

Hadn't thought of that! I'll be on the long route, trying to keep the fast group from harassing drivers too much.

volosong 02-22-12 11:54 AM

I'm a Red Rider. This will be my first TdC ride, (in Los Angeles). I hope they give jerseys instead of T-shirts. Web site says it could be either.

All of the above, and more?

roadie7 02-26-12 06:01 AM

I rode the Reston TDC twice before and now I'm going to ride it on June 3 as a Red Rider. Anyone want to meet in Reston and ride together? It's a great ride--well organized and the pit stops are terrific.

Durockrolly 02-26-12 11:51 PM

I'll be at the Long Beach ride on April 29th.
I am also a Red Rider.
