Waiting for Buster Brown

This is my second week of spring break and the weather in St Louis has been near perfect. We've had periods of rain but the temperatures have been in the 70's and even the 80's. It's hard to remember that it's still officially winter.

The bad news is I'm still waiting for my short crank to see it that will make it possible for me to ride my bicycle. The nice lady at Hostel Shoppe said "Friday or Monday". You know what that means.

I have about an hour of staining left to do on my deck. I was planning to do the staining this morning and install my new crankset this afternoon. We're having sprinkles and grumbles of thunder right now so I can't stain and it's way too early for Buster Brown.

I want to get back out on my bike but I'm not getting my way. Sigh!

What does the weather have to do with a new pair of shoes?

I haven't heard that name in years. Buster Brown and US Keds were the only shoes my mother would buy us when we were kids.

Buster Brown isn't coming. RATS!

I called Hostel Shoppe and it looks like my order somehow got lost. Replaced the order and the person who I talked with says she is personally going to pick it to go out tomorrow. I should have it Thursday. Forcast for Thursday and Friday is rain. Oh poo poo!

Knowing how Hostel Shoppe works, that nice lady will probably drive the crankset to your house. Breaking the speed limit the whole way.
Not the cheapest prices, but the service is unmatched.

I wore Buster Browns to school, and was a nerd.

My boys wore Nike Air Jordans.
A passing fad. Who knows what kids are wearing today.

Probably less than their parents would like them to wear, just like we did.

Unmatched service. That's been my past experience with them too so I'm giving them a "mulligan" on this one.

She's not driving the parts 500 miles to my house but she is giving me free shipping. She said she would have upgraded to 2nd day air but I'm in the 2 day delivery zone anyway.
