Working on bike storage
While I like the cheap, plastic-coated hook and ceiling storage idea, that is not an option to me(unless I wanted to hang my bikes 12 feet up ;) ). I cleaned out the room off the garage that is supposed to be for like a lawntractor, tools etc. and put up some Rubbermaid Fast Track. They make a nice bicycle mount for it. So far, so good. BTW the Fast Track stuff is awesome. Other manufacturers make their own version of it. Works great!

Looks pretty neat to me.

I've used this Fast Track stuff for about 3-4 years now. I can't believe Rubbermaid doesn't push this stuff hard or create a big display in Home Centers for it. It is simple awesome stuff. A metal base plate gets screwed on(into studs), then a plastic sleeve clips over it, so you don't see the screws and then you can clip any hanger they make to that. You can move the hangers at will without making holes or creating a mess. Plus, if your needs change, you can put up whatever hanger you want for whatever. There are other versions of it by other manufacturers that might work out better for you.

I can't stand these pics of other peoples storage areas. They are too neat and tidy.

Nice set up!

OK for those that think I'm some neatnik. A picture back toward the garage from the bike room:  But in a week or two I'll post another pic. Working on it hot and heavy.

Storage seems to be an on-going problem if you live with the N+1 rule. Every time I get it figured out, it seems there's just one more to add. I've used the fast track too and like it.

That rack system seems like a well designed and thought out set up. You did a nice job with the installation, it looks very good. Well done.
