I may not be >50. But, as a fourty something, I would like to apply for a junior position. See enclosed photo and signature. If any additional documentation is required,..........I don't see how it could be.

Please allow me to introduce myself. Professor Mortimer Canard.

You will notice from the above picture of my bike the careful addition and preservation of many Fredly accessories including:
Dork disc
Wheel reflectors
Wired bicycle computer
Mini pump attched next to the front water bottle cage
Biopace chainrings
Handlebar mounted mini-LED flaslight
Vintage tire savers front and rear
Rack bag for carrying: pant guards, bungee cords, duct tape, baseball caps, fast food coupons...

You will also notice carefully selected professorial attire worthy of a F.U. instructor.
Helmet with visor
100% cotton cycling jersey
High tech denim cycling shorts
Grey athletic socks
Black walking shoes

My disertation was on the application of bungee cords to keep camping equipment on touring bikes.

Graduate level work on the theoretical limits of the number of water bottles a bicycle can carry and the advanced use of garage doors in bicycle pictures.

Life long motto: "Ich bin ein Fredrick!"

DG, I've noticed your posts have a knack for bringing the worst out of us.

It's a gift. Carry on.

Winner! With your language skills we should be able to attract foreign students who will pay handsomely to study at your Fredly feet.

Mort Canard for dean of Fred University! With that impressive list of qualifications on his CV he is the top candidate for that position. What say y'all?

Bill

Although the rising stem and the high spoke count wheels have promise, the seat to bar drop is too great. I would like to see the handlebars at least 6 inches above the seat and a much bigger bag under the seat.

Large seatbag has already been taken by Zippy (clearly a high qualification) so I will hang my application on my longstanding advocacy to installing a rear-view mirror on an otherwise sexy road machine. (And not one of those groovy little Italian mirrors either.) I'll post a picture tonight.

+1. I believe Mort is qualified to be a Dean at very least... well above mere faculty standing. (Oh RATS... Bill has already beat me to this idea. I second his motion anyway. Dean of Fredly Education and Liberal Arts has a good ring to it. Perhaps even an endowed chair is appropriate?)
