Just followed the cue sheet and it looks like the 100 goes up through Weaverville, Mars Hill and then circles back. I think I might try it. I really need to get in something with some miles and a little climbing. Agree that the last several miles look like they come beside the Grove Park Inn and through the edge of town. Oh well.
I have done Ruby a couple times and like the route a few years ago better.....plus I can do housing for free with this one!
