Why won't BF let me edit my posts anymore?

What am I doing wrong?

Because your content is to good to be improved?

I've always been able to edit and did so this morning. The ability to delete seems to be time or activity limited, I've noticed.

I wrote the mods about that and spell check a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure that many have noticed but the forum has been undergoing a series of small changes recently.

I wonder................

Yes, that's what I'm thinking and it will just take time to fix the problem.

No problems editing here.

Camilo 05-25-12 06:27 PM

I can edit just fine

[edit]: see, I told you!

Some forums only allow editing for a limited time.

If so, that is new here. I have edited stuff 10 years old.

Hmm

I just noticed that they only have about a years+ worth of posts available for the forum. Yet, I was still able to edit stuff a year ago or more.

Very true, but I haven't found that to be the case here. I know of a couple of posts I edited a day or so afterwards to correct a left out or wrong word, or punctuation.

Use refresh on your browser and then you can go back and edit your post. It seems to be a quirk in the new software.

I'm not comfortable with that new software yet.

Get off my lawn.

I've noticed since about the last month that the site boots me off in the middle of typing a reply, if I don't click "remember me" when I log in. It's as if I have a quota of one posting per login. It used to default to the "remember me" option.

No. If I refresh my browser it definitively boots me off and forgets the text I have in the reply window. It does NOT allow me to finish my post. If I don't select my typing and save it, it is NOT recalled.

I like your lawn, it's comfy to sit on. I'm staying. I brought beer ...

Oh oh! If he brought beer sitting and drinking aren't the only things that he's going to do on your lawn.

I think that it's odd that different posters seem to be having different issues with the forum. None of that other stuff is bothering me. I just get a blue window whenever I try to edit.

I get that on occasion when trying to reply to a thread as well.

George 05-26-12 12:40 PM

I have to double click to leave a thread now.

Also to switch forums.
