"Bike to Work" for Retired Folks

An email I sent to our "Bike to Work" folks, which was today in Colorado

Subject: Why group everyone over 60 as as 60+?

Why group everyone over 60 as 60+? [On the registration form]

There are a lot of bicyclers out there that are 70+, 80+, etc. Yet, you are totally missing that important demographic by placing everyone over 60 in one pot.

We are proud of being 70 or 80 and bicycling.

Some of us "work" at volunteer organizations (me) and, while we don't get paid, we are certainly bicycling there and saving gas.

Please recognize us and our contribution. I bicycle daily, ride about 100-150 miles per week, and use the bicycle for errands and chores.

And rhe response

Hi Denver – thanks for the suggestion! This is something we’ll add to our list for planning next year’s event!

And thank you for riding, and registering, for Bike to Work Day!
