Mrs. Grouch tears it up.
Mrs. Grouch and I went on a 27 mile ride this morning. That may be the longest ride she's ever done that wasn't on a tandem. Five miles from the end I told her the rest was all downhill and in the shade. She took off on her tricycle and tore it up. She caught and passed some other riders. I've never seen her do anything like that before. I laughed all the way back to the car.
I'm proud of her.
I'm proud of her.

Holy smoke. There's no telling where this entire "women finding their inner athlete" thing will end.

The word Grouch was enough for me to want to see who's home here... I just got though the intro page and was immediatly told check in at the over 50+ forum, lol. Good Lord how the time flies. Brings an old Stones tune to mind... "what a drag it is getting old" (grins). I wonder how a "Beaujolais Round Table" thread would sit with the current over 50 crowd. For those who like semi-serious (yes, humorous and some times tongue-in cheeck) banter. If you don't like Beaujolais, by all means bring your glass of Pinot or Chardonnay... and talk ?

Thanks Bill, you mean I can really b*tch, moan and groan once in a while? I promise I'll only poke at "issues" and not at members... ! Really looking to find other cantankerous ol fools like me (what's female for fools? hehe), tired of combative forum trolls looking for fights... hopefully relaxed enough by now to have an opinion... lol

But... but... if she keeps racing and smiling like that, she won't be "Mrs Grouch" for much longer! Think the two of you can come up with a new name?

Next thing you know that lovely lass will learn to bunny hop and do a wheelie with her trike. Be sure to have a camera with you at all times.

Y' know, you could always take those bike routes that ya share with cars. I think they call them "roads."

who us? of course. but they would be interested in doing a certain Cape Cod rail trail in it's entirety, taking them from near the canal to their favorite towns at the other end. it's more of a psychological time warp kind of thnig rather than stricly a mileage thing. then they could have some bragging rights and pride. someday I might force them to do the round trip but first things first ... :/
