Well, it happened. I got thrown the curve ball. Got taken off that run and sent north instead.
Oh well, definitely on the ride list, and I'll get to it some day.

I went back again today, this time for 58 miles total, about 50 of those on trail.

Took the T34, with treaded touring tires. The shaded trail was nice, but I still saw 98F and an average temp temperature of 89F.


When I ride my bike I feel free and happy and strong. I'm liberated from the usual nonsense of day to day life. Solid, dependable, silent, my bike is my horse, my fighter jet, my island, my friend. Together we will conquer that hill and thereafter the world.

I'm getting inspired to get out my cross bike. Looks like you had a slight tailwind on the return leg, eh? I could keep up with you at that pace... I think.
