raincheck ride with pics

All whining aside sat. was a beautiful day for a ride. Cool, think 60's and 70's. and mostly sunny. Below are some pics from the road-

taken in Albany wi

for the urbancentric-these are tractors

village museum

todays destination in orfordville wi followed by pics of the blackraspberry-peach with whipped cream concoction I had and a pic of the cinamon rolls I wanted. They were huge.

and 1 last image which speaks at several levels

I ended up with 67 miles ridden at a very leisurely pace as I stopped for pics, etc and I wasn't in a hurry in any event. I only missed 1 turn which I'm sure was the maps and not my memorys fault. For around here it was amazingly short on climbing. I don't think I had 2000ft for which I was grateful. I was actually giving some consideration into doing an imperial century but let the wisdom of age override the misguided enthusiasm of youth.

Cudos for the pie photo! Reminiscent of Stapfam's "pie de resistance" but yet, given an American flavor when presented amongst the Mid-Western farmland photos. This is standard of pie shots to which we all should aspire. Nicely done, rck, nicely done.

Nice job on the 67 miles, too!

Nice pics and ride description - ditto to above on the race start for the tractors. I didn't see any roll bars, though

I've crossed WI west to east on tour. Fine state you've got there. Dramatic difference in road quality Minnesota/Wisconsin, WI's favor. Got ejected from a freeway in Wausau. Will be in Milwaukee Sept 4 to continue the journey to the Atlantic. Boston. Looking forward to our 'sea cruise' across Lake Michigan.

Great post and pictures. Should be more day ride stuff on BFs.

What does one do with those things you call tractors? I know what to do with the pie.
