You know...
I went up to the top of this once as a teenager, but only from Sault, not the very bottom
So, 3 times - surely all it takes is a failure of imagination and a dogged daftness
Anyhow, I've booked next summer's break. Spouse, sadly, has declined the tandem

That link is not working for me...
Training for an epic event is a good goal, as long as the rest of your life holds together well.

The link you refer to is probably climbing Ventoux up the 3 different routes in one day. Did the trip from Malaucen in one day and was my first ever Mountain climb. Went back a couple of years later and the intention was to do the 3 climbs but did the Malaucen to the summit- dropped down into Sault and thanks to the weather-Rain and wind- I stopped. Mountains are not the best place to be on with horizontal rain.
The other Town to start from is Bedoin and a link to Ventoux is
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mont_Ventoux
Scroll down to Road cyling and you can get an idea of what Wobbly is refering to.
And a link to one of our members climbing it is

Guess my goal (see sig) fits mad category. But I am having fun trying and if I do make it, I will have bragging rights for the rest of my life, and that's worth a lot.
