50+ jersey and kit order thread 2013

ORDERS CLOSED
Spurred on by continuing requests and that "Do I need a jersey" thread, I'm going to do this again.
I'm way too busy at school, so busy that I thought, what's one more thing on the giant pile? So here we go...

I am turning a round number age this year and am exercising my option to be a grump, so:
Read all this if you want a jersey. That guy who asks questions that are answered here, or screws up my system? Don't be that guy. End rant.

Some additional info is here on my FAQ, so before you ask a question, please give this a view.

I should point out I need a minimum of 10 to reorder, but if half the folks who said they wanted one order it won't be an issue.

I do this order and I'm up to over 300 of these things out in the wild!

Race cut or club cut in the picture below?

Did you get those to your size or did you go up or down?

I'm a medium in a medium, MyLilPony is a small, in a small. Club cut.

billydonn 02-21-13 09:31 AM

I'll send my order at first of month after payday.

I have some 3X 50+ bibs with performance pad worn just once or twice. They are too big for my sleek figure and are clean of course. $45 seems about right. PM if interested.

cccorlew 02-21-13 11:09 AM

I forgot the bibs/shorts design photo

Curtis, I get mediums in jerseys, pro fit, and guess my chest size at 38(5'7", 140 lbs). My build is similar to yours in sveltness(though I have extra loose skin on the belly(110lb weight loss). I noticed there's a bit of room in the arms and chest area in the jersey you're wearing--I'll have to consider if I want that baggy a feel in the chest and the arms.

cccorlew 02-21-13 01:44 PM

I hate to get into guessing sizes. I'm around 145 in the photo, and an 5'7"
So, and again, I'm just guessing, you might want to go race cut if you like snug.

nmichell 02-21-13 04:38 PM

Yea, it's back! I've been waiting for this :) Thanks for running it again Curtis.

Bikey Mikey 02-21-13 06:26 PM

Bill, thanks for your info about the fit.

Sorry Curtis, wasn't trying to get you into guessing. But your info, that you and I are darn close in size, helps a lot.

cccorlew 02-22-13 11:21 AM

I'm hoping everyone is checking their order in my image at the top, just to mak sure I'm getting it right. No need to post conformation here, but do let me know if I've erred.

On the good news front, we have the minimum number to make an order already! How cool is that?

Shamrock 02-22-13 07:51 PM

Thanks for doing this.I can't make up my mind if I want one or not.Is it a chick magnet or repellant.I guess it depends on the age of the chick.since some people think I'm 46-48 buying a jersey that says I'm over fifty is ........Stupid.I think I will get one. in 2 -4 years this point will be moot. Now do I want long sleeve or short?I don;t have any long sleeve jerseys but I wear short sleeve more.I'm leaning more toward the short.I'll place my order soon. thanks again.

Old Sarge 02-23-13 05:52 AM

Thanks for taking this on, Curtis. I've always said that if you want something done find a busy person to do it and you seem to fit the bill. Just placed an order.

goldfinch 02-23-13 06:12 AM

I have a women's large long sleeve for $35 that is too big if someone is interested. However, it is back at another house and I won't get there until April 1. Worn once. I thought I was bigger than I was at the time.

What is the wind vest like?

cccorlew 02-23-13 09:46 AM

qcpmsame, not a problem. I treat every item as an individual order. They even go out in their own envelopes. The flat rate shipping envelope makes life a lot easier than figuring out the rate for every item.

Dan Burkhart 02-23-13 10:54 AM

I will be submitting an order when I get home next week. Guess I'm one of those that will need to contact you regarding shipping rates.
Oh, and I will be attaining that same super annuated marker as yourself this year. Time to do up a 60+ version? :D

jdon 02-23-13 11:07 AM

At 50, I started counting birthdays backwards hoping to make zero in my final year. ;) I need a 48- jersey.

While I don't need any items, I will say, it is once again, very kind of Curtis to organize and execute this project. Good on you CC.

You can go to the Champion Systems website for more info on the wind vest, etc. From what I can see there is a mesh upper back and no pockets mentioned. Has high collar and wind proof front fabric.

cccorlew 02-24-13 01:47 PM

I like the vest a lot. I use it A LOT more than the jacket.
I have 2, one has a pocket, the other does not. I have no idea why they changed, or what they are doing now. My vest with the pocket is newer. YMMV.
edit -- see next post.

cccorlew 02-24-13 04:18 PM

Upon actually checking, it isn't a pocket, it's zippered access to jersey pockets.

nmichell 02-25-13 09:19 PM

Bump ... shouldn't this be a sticky?

cccorlew 02-26-13 10:44 AM

This may be weird, but I often miss the stickies, as they are always there and don't seem like new stuff. I just don't notice them. It's a personal failing I know, and i'm sure I miss things.

This thread will get plenty of bumps.

Now I must have one for sure. This will only add to the excitement of ordering... to see what I get. Then there's, "will the zipper open at the bottom too?"... Oh, I do love a good mystery.:)

Counting down.... just two days till payday!

Roosterbird 02-27-13 08:50 PM

In coming PP for 1 short sleeve jersey
thanks
