Winter project finally completed(almost) - French content

I just got this wrapped up today. I had put it off for a bunch of months, and finally got on with building it. I found the frame on Craigslist almost a year ago. I had a few pieces for it, but lacked all of the needed french stuff. Anyhow, I found a donor bike, and some help from some of the C&V forum people. Nothing on it is 'correct' for an original PR 10, it's just what I could come up with. I have not ridden it yet, and a couple of loose ends to tie up. My goal is to ride it on Cino Heroica this September(if I can fit it in the family schedule..).

1975 PR 10 - three tubes reynolds 531(this is the first 531 bike I've owned or ridden)

here is what I started with

That's beautiful! If it rides even half as good as it looks you've got a winner!

Notice how clean the bike looks with it down tube shifters. I still think DF bikes reached their zenith late in the 80s. The down tube shifters had almost no friction, and only the short turn around housing at the rear.

Im sorry but today plastic (CF) bikes do not do much for me. They are too expensive and too fragile.

Thanks for all of the compliments.

For what it's worth, I did consider installing bar end shifters(that I've been holding onto for awhile). I decided against using them. I grew up using downtube shifters, and like the simple cable routing(less clutter).
