Today's scope-out ride. Wurr Road, near Loma Mar, California. Love those shady redwood groves.

Chilling at the in-laws lake house, adding 50 more miles to get 500+ miles for the week. Legs were feeling the hills of the FANY Ride.

I've installed a GCam apk on my Nokia phone (turning my Nokia 6.1 into 2/3 of a Pixel 3a at 1/2 the price
), so I have a slightly dysfunctional Google Pixel camera to play around with. I've been taking panoramas that can be viewed from Google Photos in VR mode. I've also accidentally taken some of the google motion photos, before I noticed the "auto" setting and turned it off.
Now that the Mississippi (counts s's and p's) has finally receded, the Confluence Trail is finally back open, so I used it for my early morning exercise ride, and snapped some panorama shots.
To view the photos in VR mode, you click on the image to enter viewer mode, then click on the turn arrow in the middle to view it in VR mode.
A street in Downtown Alton, IL
A view of the Clark Bridge from the (reopened) Confluence Trail
Honestly, these would probably look better if I'd used the Photo Sphere feature, but the round and round motion is even more finicky than the straight sideways pan motion.

This caribou (larger animal in reindeer family) was eating along bike path this morning.
I moved to highway via the driveway.
Took picture from highway as I rode by. It looked at me then went back to eating

Yesterday my oldest brother invited me to fly with him to Seldovia (Alaska) to visit our cousin.
Here are pictures of part of the area

Seldovia, Alaska

McDonal Spit where cousins live

Only road to their cabin

Banks, Oregon, southern terminus of the Banks-Vernonia State Trail. The wig-wag crossing signal operates; you push a button and it clangs and moves for about 30 seconds. Nice touch.
