Hiawatha Trail. Rode it up hill during a two-week, unsupported tour in MT and ID in 2019. I started the day outside of Avery, ID and rode the former right-of-way to the Pearson Trailhead (western end of the Hiawatha) and continued on to East Portal. Then hooked up with the NorPac Trail up to Lookout Pass then continued on the Wallace, ID. Went from ID into MT and back into ID that day.

Mayflies!

This was taken last night at sunset at my in-laws at their lake house in NC. Mayflies come out about once a year. They only live for a day or two but they can have them for several days. Last night they were the thickest we’ve seen them in the 30+ years they’ve lived there.

sorry no pics Saw what I thought was a topless boy on the Hawthorne bridge when crossing it on my bike. But then she dropped the dress she is holding down and I see nope not a boy. Except for one feature and dark nipples she looked like a boy and had the same curves. I guess drugs but who knows. Not a curve in sight short hair and shaved down below completely

OMG. I saw this and thought those were mosquitoes. Aieeeee.

The storm caught me on the way home. But it was nice. Turned a light headwind into a stronger tailwind. Then a wet tailwind. But after riding in the afternoon heat the rain felt good.
