Well short of spectacular,
a small ruralish road
that tips up and down
twists left and right
with green, tended fields
makes a soothing ride.
Wish it was more than a few passing miles along my way on wheels

Plentiful rain in December means a nice green January.

This is like me every morning, looking out of the window and pondering if today is a fingerless gloves or a full fingered gloves day

The piggies became developers, and now the old power plant is nice apartments.

For anyone thinking 'what pigs?' see....
.....and.....https://festivalpeak.com/pink-floyds...r-e7e9c588fa00

I'm currently in the process of gathering info for a music themed London ride in the coming weeks, so this backdrop will likely feature again soon, The area has changed so much since the old power station featured as the back drop to that album cover at the end of the 70's, and as mentioned above its swanky flats there now, so there's as much chance of pigs flying as your average Joe being able to afford one of those.

Today I took the mtb up the mountain behind the house. It's about 3000 feet higher than the house and there is a partially paved road to the top of the ridge, then all dirt once there and on the other roads in the area.

One of my favorite backcountry rides north of Cheyenne WY. Looking south on Telephone Road at Lodgepole Creek.

https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...5978100bb.jpeg

The Cheyenne to Deadwood stage line operated between 1876 and 1887 hauling gold from the Black Hills to the railhead in Cheyenne and passengers in both directions. It was a regular target of road agents who robbed the passengers and were occasionally able to open the "treasure" boxes and steal the gold. Drivers, guards, road agents and passengers were sometimes killed in the encounters.
