The Salt River in Phoenix
Normally the river bed is dry. There are pools of water where effluent from streets and who knows where drains into the river. This year our reservoirs have filled and they are releasing water upstream. The river is flowing! This is a once every 10-20 year sight.

Funny story, the last time I was up on haystack it was about an hour and a half before dusk. Crossing the saddle to the other side there was a young couple in the throws of passion up on the rock. I averted my eyes by walking around them. A very romantic view for them. Doubt they even noticed me.
