Biker395: Nice (again)
Here's mine from today. Yep, it's just an iPhone shot, but I like it. http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3730/9...bcd1f0f78d.jpg Ride with Tricia and clouds with Mt. Diablo (cropped) by ccorlew, on Flickr |

Thanks! That one was a conversion.
We had just finished doing this crazy spaghettifest: http://ridewithgps.com/trips/1741641 Ken had to spend some time off the bike, and spent most of that time sagging and helping others. And he's just now getting back on the bike and whipping himself into shape. It was a beautiful warm day, and we were swooping down to the coast after a light lunch. Didn't want it to end! :( |

Was that a route you had to follow, or were you making it up as you went along. Looks complicated!
Yea ... bring your route slip and your reading glasses. :D |
Two flower pics from my mountain bike single track ride today. I am no photographer, but I enjoyed the scenery very much.

Shameless selfie. It's my reflection off a blank bulletin board at Floyd Park, which officially opens today. I think it looks like something Monet might have painted, had he been desperate for the money and if I had enough.
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps9b0fb06f.jpg BTW, there have been some great photos on this thread, mine excepting. |

California is in the middle of a very warm heat wave... to beat the heat, my riding buddy and I took off work Friday and drove up to Big Bear/Snow Summit. It was warm there too but not as bad. You start climbing at 8000' so it takes me a good 1/2 hour to catch my breathe and feel comfortable. Our plan was to climb up the mountain to try the new singletrack on Snow Summit called Skyline which runs along or near the fire road. The trail has some sketchy technical parts but my ride partner was able to ride everything; I had to walk the sketchy parts.
As we finished up, we changed clothes and then started to eat lunch when dark storm clouds rolled in and the thunder and lightning started. We packed up and got into the car and all of a sudden the biggest raindrops ever started to fall. Very cool! When we got back to Orange County at 3 pm the temperature was 105! Wowzer! http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=339099 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=339100 |
Seen today:
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...psad67d2dd.jpg I dialed up the wattage and dusted her, but it wasn't easy. Also seen today on the way down to Bardstown: http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps50ba86c6.jpg |
