Mine misses me but in a few months we will do some open roads after a few more winter improvements.

Wow, there are some really nice bikes old people ride. When I first read the thread title, I thought I would fit right in but, the newest bike I have is an '82 King Sting. I certainly would have a hard time keeping up with you all on my commuter bike. But then I never really have ridden very fast. This '55 Schwinn Tiger is 2 years older than I am and gives me quite a workout.

I'm only interested in this kind of bike. I had a nice road bike once and did a few club rides on it but mainly it sat idle. This is my 1992 Trek 930 Single Track. Bought it used in 2003 and it has just sat waiting for an overhaul which it finally got last spring, but then I still didn't ride it - until today.

Pretty.

I have two steel bikes and two carbon ones.

The steel ones are still my go to bicis.

Love it! What year? By the way, I was born and raised in Rochester. Miss it sometimes but the Atlanta winters make up for it.

It's a 1970. First oil in frame was 71. Wanted to stay away from that. Winters still suk here. How long have you be gone?

Left in '75 for Syracuse, Charleston, WV and finally north of Atlanta. Wife and I still have a couple of relatives there and come back to visit every couple of years. Will come up in June this year for the Jazz Festival. I went to Eastman School of Music ages ago but still love music and jazz in particular. I also ride a Honda Hawk GT 650, when I'm not pedaling. Wish we had a Wegmans here. We better take this off-line before they slap our 50+ (65+) old hands. Stay warm.

Motorized bikes? I've been out of it for awhile. I remember something about cheating with some kind of power assist some years ago.

Yeah. I don't know the specifics of them but a lot of people in my town have been putting gas-powered motors on their bicycles. Supposedly they can go about 25 mph without pedalling. Helluva lot of noise and inefficiency abounds as they seem to run out of gas after a few miles. Personally I don't get the appeal.
