Bought this Super Course MK II new in 75

Still going strong with the addition of a Campy triple setup with 14-28 gears. I installed the Sun Tour bar end shifters when it was new. Much easier climbing for these old legs. Im restoring a mixte 1976 Super Course with the same equipment for my wife.

She was a custom build and, believe it or not, apart from pedals, I've only changed bits that have worn out in the six years I've owned her - I have to look at the date stamps to tell whether I'm looking at a new or old photo.

Nice bike. And hopefully still a long way off. Now what are you carrying in that handlebar bag?

In the bag? Apple, cheese, bug-off, police whistle (dog dissuader), dog biscuits, zip lock bag, paper towels, tie-down strap, gloves (when I'm not wearing them), compact binoculars.

Ok. I've been inflicted with an incurable condition, weight weenie-ism, so sometimes wonder what people carry in their road bike bags.

Allatoona Creek Park, Acworth, Georgia.

It is Army Corps land leased to the county. SORBA maintains many outstanding MTB trails there.

I cut through the park via the the cross country running trails, fire breaks and gravel road on some of my lunch rides and night workouts.

How do you like those Schwalbe G-Ones? A friend got the Big Ones on his gravel bike. I think I'd prefer that design to the Conti SpeedRides with the side knobbies, which don't really do much other than on grass or bare dirt. And those side knobbies feel squirmy on tight turns on pavement. Great tires otherwise but the Schwalbes look even better.

I have nothing to compare them to except the Vittoria Rubino Pro Slick and Rubino G+ Speed tires I use. I've not used any other tire for close to a decade so take what I say with a grain of salt.

They roll very well on pavement. Heavier than a road tire and so a bit more sluggish when climbing or accelerating but the grip is better than I thought it would be and they seem to roll very fast. They have been pushed hard in turns without issues.

On non paved surfaces they haven't let me down, never slipped once in close to 200 miles since I've been riding them. I'm sure the limit is the rider and not the tire and I'll have to work up to pushing them hard on gravel and dirt.

Cannondale gets mileage on dirt and gravel trails.

Got my first Apidura bag thanks to @c.miller64.

The plan is to get a matching saddle bag and maybe a bar bag for bikepacking and hammock camping.

Added a 2nd Bike Friday, a 2nd hand Season Tikit, Folder with a Sram I9 . 9 speed IGH..

Like the advantages of low step thru like nature of this bike.

(my 1 Road bike hangs upside down from the overhead, in the laundry alcove..)
