Old Growth Temperate Rain Forest on Vancouver Island. Not much of it left. Great place to tour; friendly people who are really into biking.

Looks to me like standard old fashioned quill caged road pedals with some aluminum half clips of some kind attached. They're still being made by MKS and some others.

I have a 1980 Centurion Elite. It's my ugly bike but does have it's unique personality of a tight racing geometry that someone installed suntour barcons on. The Centurion is the bike that gets the call for trainer duty (soon approaching).

Try a Camelbak! I love mine. I don't notice it on my back at all and I never ride without it. Just another opinion...

Ha! I actually bought a 70 oz. Camelbak last weekend since I knew I'd be biking. Our temps have dropped but I definitely appreciated having more water! I also did get a bit of a sweaty back under it but it was OK. I'll have to see what I think when we have warmer temps again; I'm still considering putting a rack in the back so I can have a small bag there. I like options

A 2008 Scoot SUB 30, kind of an entry level "urban" bike. Fairly light (23#?) aluminum frame and fork, super sturdy construction and wheels, with old Madden bags, drop bars, MTB seat, and a pair of Panaracer RiBMos 26x1.25. Comfortable, fast enough, good climber and an easy carry for books, groceries or sports gear. I take it out for a 17 mile loop on the Greenway every morning, and use it instead of a car much of the day. I do about 500 miles a month, at about 15 MPH on level ground. Always a good time.
