It's Pinot Red. The paint scheme is called Heritage (with it's 1970s style logo).

And this:
Each has a place and purpose. My "go to" bike is my Look 566. I train on it, pleasure ride on it, and have raced it. N + too many, right?

This old people rides bikes he builds during the winter. This one started with an early 1970s Raysport Turismo frameset, which I transformed into an English-style light roadster with Sturmey-Archer 5-speed drivetrain:
... and this one is an old Fuji Royale that hung up its derailleurs and retired to a nice, comfy Sturmey Archer 3-Speed. Lighter and nimbler than my Raleigh DL1 (and those Tektro brakes actually work!), it is my favorite ride for around town:
Building these into configurations so much different from stock presents engineering challenges that keep my mind busy during the cold, dark Minnesota winter. Using high-quality roadbike frames to build roadster-style bikes makes for easier pedaling for longer distances. They make great conversation starters too.

Picked this up on Tuesday. A nice addition to my Colnago Ace. 2017 Colnago CRS - still in the tweaking phase.

I apologize, but a bike set up for TransAm this year (esp 50+ rider) is worth a whole thread of close-ups. Shirley, I am late to the party??? Could you indulge me (us)?; with emphasis on cockpit refinements and bag attachment points. For distance and speed you want to be aero. Is a partial body sock allowed?
And @sarals & @DQRider your fleets are different and so likely appropriate. And nicely photo'd.
I split vintage with 10spd.

[QUOTE=eatontkd;19513840] Well, thanks, I think. You could probably build one yourself, @eatontkd. If you already have a vision of what you want in mind, just find a quality lightweight frame that fits, and then add the best parts you can get until you're satisfied.
When you're not bound by concerns about originality, every frame becomes an empty canvas. Build it as you like, call it what you want, and go ride!

My new rehab ride! Went with shorter 165mm 50/34 cranks and a taller stem for comfort, and a 36 cassette on back for my weak climbing. Looking forward to getting stronger and jumping from road to gravel as I please!

Bought this Super Course MK II new in 75
Still going strong with the addition of a Campy triple setup with 14-28 gears. I installed the Sun Tour bar end shifters when it was new. Much easier climbing for these old legs. Im restoring a mixte 1976 Super Course with the same equipment for my wife.

Thanks. Your bike makes me want to take a leave of absence from work.
This is my new Niner and the reason for the question.

She was a custom build and, believe it or not, apart from pedals, I've only changed bits that have worn out in the six years I've owned her - I have to look at the date stamps to tell whether I'm looking at a new or old photo.

Nice bike. And hopefully still a long way off. Now what are you carrying in that handlebar bag?
