This was my first bike I ever owned. Wish I still had it.

Love all the vintage rides fellas!

I'm riding new as well although I do like a nice vintage bike and would love to build one up one day. This is the room where I keep all my bike stuff to include my trainer which gets moved to the living room in front of the TV when I ride indoors.

This is what I'm riding now, Trek CrossRip. It's very comfy now with the tire pressures dialed in and my back not complaining after long rides. https://photos.app.goo.gl/5RKbHLAdkz4w7VBH9

Pashley is like the Rolls Royce of bicycles. Still hand-built in Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of Shakespeare. But I don't think he rode one....

Oh, that is so sweet. Almost makes me want to go buy/build one, just for the esthetics

This is my special needs step-daughter's trike. I do the maintenance & take it on mechanic's check rides. Here we are after three new tires. It's a hoot. It's a workout.

Interesting transition from the Seven to the CF Specialized. Would be interested to hear your thoughts / reasons for the choice of new bike. Is this one of the models with the shock absorber in the headset? Also, was the Seven a custom build? Its not often you see a head tube that long. I keep drooling over my friends MOOTS but can't bring myself to spend that kind of money - the various steel frame bikes I have will have to suffice in the interim.

Now that winter is here, I'm on my vintage Colorado-built Barracuda A2B with studded tires:

... and I'm working on this old `48 Raleigh Clubman build in the shop:

Preserving that patina... I'm sure there's an old-people joke in there somewhere.

Nice! Patina definitely has it's place. I've got an old Peugeot with a lot of it and I've never really entertained the thought of repainting. Although, clear coat over the patina might be an option.

Just hit the 57 mark. Cheers Tony

Had this since 1973 updated it twice.....

Then I swapped the components to this to see if I liked it... i do and it’s going to get those briftery things on it this spring... lol

And this one is now the chill bike. Street tires and just comfy to ride. Picked it up in late 1989

I think you are doing the right thing preserving the patina on that Clubman. Are you building it as a single speed?

No, it was originally Sturmey-Archer 3-speed, so that's how I'm building it now.

The difference is that I'm using all black hardware, including the black 700c SA 3-speed wheelset from Handsome Cycles, to highlight that patina under shiny clearcoat for a more dramatic visual effect.

I'll post photos here when it's done.
