Some of my favorite rides is on Sunday mornings with my bike club. Many of the rides are through various neighborhoods and they start at around 7:30, so we get to smell the different breakfasts being made. I especially love the smell of bacon being cooked in the morning. Sometimes, I just want to drop myself from the group and go knock on their door and see if they'll invite me in for breakfast. My daily rides are done in a wilderness MUP, so other than the normal smell of the woods, there isn't much olfactory enjoyment on those rides.

The ligustrum began blooming late last week, they remind me of college, UWF is a wooded campus and a nature preserve with a lot of ligustrum, sweet olive and azaleas around the walks and roads around campus. This time of year it smells wonderful, when I commuted for my junior and senior years on my bikes I would just spend time between classes and labs riding on the paths and roads taking it all in. Good memories.

Today as I rode past a pond I could smell the bream bedding. Made me wish I had a cane pole and some worms.

I'd be thinking fry pan and cooler of beer.

First things first. Gotta catch 'em before you can cook 'em.
