May Is Over

May is in the books riding and weight loss wise.

My pledge was to ride 207 miles in May (10% more than I did in April). I actually rode 418.5 miles this month.

FYI - I lost 14 pounds this month

Great job! May was a pretty good month for riding around here. Hopefully June won't be too hot yet.

Good job. Now I have to go check my miles. I know I lost 5 lbs. Losing 14 lbs. is impressive.

I don't always keep the best records but thanks to weather and a week lost to a Ducati rally in NC I did about 200 mi. in May. Had been hoping to average 100 mi./wk. Maybe from here on out.

My best month to date since I returned to cycling, 385 miles, 30 out of 31 days, not large or much per day but for me it is a milestone. Riding again today, going to do between 20 and 25 miles. Weight hit 228 lbs, down from 278+ lbs since 20 July 12. Looking forward to June, July and August, just have to dodge the usual off the Gulf thunderstorms every day.

Bruce, I'd excuse you for attending a Ducati Rally any time, Ducks rule!

Arragh!

I didn't get many more miles in May than some posters lost pounds. Right now, June doesn't look much more promising. We'll see what happens.

I rode all 31 days in May, 2013 by commuting Mon./Wed./Fri. then doing club rides on Tues. and Thurs. with lots of climbing in the mountains on Sat. and a recovery ride (often fixed gear) on Sundays. Total May Miles = 1,088.4 Total Elevation Gain for May 59.991. Weight wise I only dropped one pound . . . and that may not stay off. Rick / OCRR

I saw the post for your rides this weekend. The climbing you did on the weekend was more than I did the whole month of May! And I like riding hills.

I'm envious.

Wow! Great job. I did 902 miles but 756 of that was a 1200-km brevet. Certianly not a typical month for me!
